Guide Your Community In Hisbonenus Meditation
What you will learn
This course will help you develop a meditation practice for yourself and empower you to lead others in meditation.
I will teach you how to combine that meditation practice with the Chassidus you already know to create your own unique meditations for your community and Shul experience.
Course Content
-
In the first sessions we will explore the basics of meditation in general, Jewish meditation specifically and zoom in on the generalities of Kavannah & Hisbonenus.
I will help you identify the primary features and effects of meditation and leave you with some basic practices to do between this class and the next. -
In the second sessions we explore more deeply what Kavanah and Hisbonenus are and how you transform what you have learned in Chassidus and other areas of Torah into a meditation exercise.
We will then work to adapt this to your communities level. -
In the third class I will show you how to integrate what you have learned into your Shul service. How to structure your davening practically and what support or set up you will need to best deliver this to your community on yom tov (and future shabbosim)

About Menachem & His Work
Rabbi Menachem Wolf cofounded Spiritgrow Josef Kryss Center together with his father, Rabbi Laibl Wolf, in Melbourne, Australia in 2006. It was the first Chabad centre in the world completely dedicated to Jewish spirituality, meditation and wellbeing. In 2007 Menachem created Spiritshul, a Shul and community that runs its services with meditation and commentary integrated through the teffilah. Spiritshul, with its fresh and unique approach to davening has become a model for other shul’s and communities and has been replicated to varying degrees around the world.
After almost two decades on shlichus, Menachem has a deep understanding of the practicalities of running a chabad house and the intricacies of serving a diverse community. He has navigated the spiritual ‘scene’ without compromise and is a firm believer that more needs to be done to offer Jewish people authentic Jewish (and specifically Chassidus based) meditation.
Menachem has been teaching meditation for over 15 years around the world and online and has created multiple training courses for individuals. After a year of research and ideating he has developed a series of resources and training programs for Shluchim specifically and the Jewish world more broadly with the hope that Chassidus can be more deeply integrated into peoples day to day living.
